A cow. It is this which will be the starting point for a reflection on agricultural products, but above all, their valuation.
Is born then " the granny », Aka the first brand of fair trade ice cream, 100% organic and made in the farmhouse. If the farm ice cream scheme already exists, the granny is reinventing it by offering invaluable support for farmers, so that the cost of equipment is not a brake on their desire for diversification.

The scheme is quite simple:

  • Cow - farmer
  • Milk - ice cream
  • Good - Delicious
  • Organic - Healthy

It is based on the fact that producers are often not paid the right price for the milk from their cows and the fruit from their orchards. The proposal therefore concerns diversification with a view to transforming their raw materials in order to reach a wider audience.

The bet ?

An innovative economic model where the farmer is not harmed. Paid at 80 cents per liter (price guaranteed by contract for a period of five years), he joined forces with the Compagnie Laitière des Glaces Paysannes but remained in the majority at 51% in his project.

The current price of a liter of conventional milk being 38 cents per liter, the added value by transforming it into ice cream or sorbets is enormous!

At the local level, it is also the creation of two production jobs… With a salary higher than the minimum wage!

And for the consumer?

The ice creams at the granny farm are guaranteed to be free of chemical additives and the components are 100% organic. But that's not all ! Their recipes are developed by an ice cream maker, Meilleur Ouvrier de France, I named: David Wesmaël! This name may speak to you ... it is also he who takes care of the creations of the Paris Ice Cream Shop. But that will be the subject of another article ...

In addition to being healthy and organic, these ice creams are delicious! AND… guess what?

They are turbined in Hubert Cloix machines!

The company is happy and proud to play a role in this ultra-short circuit recipe which values farmers, producers and their products.
A little milk, some fruit, the Compagnie Laitière des Glaces Paysannes and Hubert Cloix turbines… Maybe this is the recipe for success? Without forgetting, of course, a cow, whether she is the granny or any other!
