Recipe calculation based on total mass (automatic recalculation of ingredients)
This recipe calculator automatically recalculates the quantities of your ingredients based on a desired total weight. Simply enter your list of ingredients with their quantities, then define the final weight of the dish.
The tool applies a proportionality coefficient to each ingredient to maintain the original balance of the recipe. Ideal for adapting a preparation to a new volume, increasing or decreasing production, or standardizing formulations in pastry making, ice cream making, or professional kitchens.
Recipe Converter & Recalculator
By default, if you do not specify a unit, the tool assumes it is in grams (g)Accepted units: g, kg, mg, ml, cl, dl, L.
Note: the “Total target (g)” is calculated in gram equivalents by considering 1ml=1g (This approximation is valid for water and close for many liquids). Therefore, volumes (ml/cl/dl/L) are included in the total and in the percentages.

Recalculate a recipe based on a total weight
Unlike a simple converter, this calculator adjusts all the ingredients while maintaining the original proportions. Whether you want to produce 500g, 1kg, or several kilos, all quantities are automatically recalculated based on the total target mass.
This tool is particularly useful for artisans, restaurateurs, pastry chefs and ice cream makers who want to quickly adapt a recipe without manually recalculating everything.
F.A.Q
How do I recalculate a recipe with a precise total weight?
Enter your ingredients, specify the desired final mass, then start the calculation.
All quantities are adjusted automatically.
Does the tool maintain the proportions?
Yes. Each ingredient is multiplied by the same coefficient in order to preserve the initial balance of the recipe.
Who is this calculator intended for?
It is designed for anyone working with weighted recipes: cooking,
pastry, ice cream, food formulation or preparation.
