The Chocolate Fair

Today is October 28, 8 a.m. The day before, our horizontal ice cream turbines arrived at their destination, at their “meeting” place: the world of sweet arts organized by Délices et Création: 14 countries, 4 days, one price. And of course, sponsors! This is where Hubert Cloix enters the dance.

But let's first focus on the show itself. Porte de Versailles: two floors and a delicious smell of chocolate from the first step on the red entrance carpet. A sensory wonder. World, colors, scents, what could be better?

The chocolate fair is an annual event, bringing together a crowd among the big names in chocolate. Over 5 days, spectators were able to meet key players in the chocolate and cocoa industry. Each year, multiple activities are set up to ensure the "show", such as the "cacaoshow", parade of chocolate dresses.

But this show is also the venue for the Mondial des Arts Sucrés, organized by Delight and creation ! Born in 2008, thanks to two Meilleurs Ouvrier de France pastry-confectioners, this event takes place every two years.

This is how this international competition was able to shake up the codes of the pastry sector, while offering young talents from all over the world the opportunity to express their art.

What about Hubert then?

As a sponsor of the Mondial des Arts Sucrés, our company Hubert Cloix has provided candidates with 7 horizontal ice cream turbines, straight out of our workshop in Lognes. First outing for these beauties (yes, I'm very objective 😀)

The history of the HC-5 in a nutshell...

Horizontal ice turbines

Specialized in making ice cream turbines, at Hubert Cloix we did not yet have a “reduced” capacity turbine. After many requests from schools, as well as ice trainers, our design office looked into the matter. From there, depending on the user experience, the specifications, as well as the constraints to be respected, little by little, the plans are formed. We had a clear idea of the result, of what the machine could produce.

The validation of the plans, in order to reduce the prototyping phase, requires a lot of back and forth, multiple tests. Thus, perhaps starting the prototype phase. Adjustment of the last modifications (scraper, and lid optimization). Finally, a most important point: the cold setting for an extremely powerful machine!
